The annual Spanish Language night at Colorado Mesa University is quite the event. It’s worth a huge percentage of our grade and requires lots of preparation and teamwork.
I had so much fun coming up with a concept and bringing it to “stage.” We preformed for the television studio and then twice for over 60 people each time.
For non-Spanish speaking people, the concept is that tia Lola is dead, and the family visited her gravesite on el dia de los muertos (day of the dead) which inspires her to come to life later when the family gathers for dinner, to play jokes on them and finally make herself known.
Check it out! I’m the old lady with the curlers and cane.
