Fall Break 2014

Here’s a video I put together from this year’s Fall Break rafting extravaganza. Take a peak.

FRIDAY:

(Supposed) hike from the top of Mee Canyon to the bottom: ~10 miles.

(Our) hike from the top of Mee Canyon to the bottom after a tiny turn-around: ~13 miles.

Hours spend hiking: ~10 hours.

Backpacker’s lunch: sausage, different cheese and crackers– which is light-weight, filling, and easy to pack in & out.

Arrived to camp early evening and met up with the boat’s men who prepared us hungry hikers fajita for supper and brownies for dinner.

SATURDAY:

Short river day: people SUP‘ed, ducky‘ed, swam (with wetsuits) and floated on the oar boats until we got to camp.

Camp: hula hooping, music bumpin’, relaxing in the shade, hiking, cliff jumping.

Lunch: wonderful wraps and chips.

Dinner: superior stuffed peppers prepared in the dutch oven

SUNDAY:

Float out, BBQ at the West water take out, clean at the OP

Can’t wait for the trip this weekend. Stay tuned for a birthday celebration of the river!
